Choose One Nice Imprinted Pen For Your Best Customers

September 9, 2008 · Filed Under Uncategorized · Comment

Every business knows there are different levels of customers.  I’m sure most people have heard of the 80/20 rule:  80% of your business comes from 20% of your customers.  Your better customers deserve better attention from you, and also better recognition.

There are 10’s of 1000’s of custom imprinted pens available, and I think I’ve seen them all.  I basically only use 2: the BIC Clic Stic and the Hub Pen Lexington.  I use the BIC Clic Stic for giveaways at trade shows and normal walking around for people I meet during my normal business day.  The BIC Clic Stic is the best selling promotional pen in the world, and it deserves to be.  It is an amazing value for the price, nothing else comes close for the price, and we sell a ton of them at www.PenDeal.com.

The Lexington Pen is what we give our “buying” customers.  If you have ordered anything from any of our sites:  www.TradeShowItems.comwww.PenDeal.com, www.CustomGolfStuff.com, www.LogoShirtsAndHats.com or www.EmployeeGiftProgram.com you have received a Lexington Pen in the “Thank You For Your Order” package we send out.  It costs more than the BIC Clic Stic, but the customers we give them to are more valuable to us and they deserve something better.

Custom Imprinted Pens Come In All Shapes And Sizes

August 26, 2008 · Filed Under Uncategorized · 2 Comments

The days of just a normal stick pen with your company information imprinted on it are long over.  You would be amazed at the technology that is now available concerning custom imprinted pens.

The shape of available pens is incredible.  The one that stands out the most is a company called Bentcil.  They have the ability to bend pens and pencils into any shape you want.  These are very popular with kids in school who want one shaped like their school mascot.  You can search the entire line of Bentcil pens and pencils at www.PenDeal.com, just click on the “search other online catalogs”.  I’m sure people have seen the popular baseball bat pen, bone pen and other available shapes.

Mood pens are another “new” type of pen.  Based on the technology of the old mood rings, these pens change color to your touch.  It’s the body heat from your hand that actually makes the pen change color.  There are 5 different color combinations available at www.PenDeal.comMood Pencils take the same technology and add it to pencils.  These items are very popular when looking for promotional items for kids.

BIC Pen Sale Pricing Updated for 3rd Quarter

July 9, 2008 · Filed Under Uncategorized · Comment

We have just updated our custom imprinted pens site www.PenDeal.com with the newest pricing from BIC pens.

Many imprinted items producers have had to raise their prices over the last few months.  Most producers import their items for imprinting from overseas.  The huge increase in fuel costs has made it much more expensive to ship items from Asia and other parts of the world to the United States.

Lucky for us BIC makes everything at their plant near Tampa, FL and doesn’t rely on imported material.  This allows them to keep their pricing low.

Please visit www.PenDeal.com to check out the 3rd Quarter BIC pen sales pricing.

Cheap Custom Imprinted Pens Aren’t Always The Best Choice

June 30, 2008 · Filed Under Imprinted Pen General Info · Comment

Any type of promotional item or any other item that has your name on it gives a direct impression of your business. Do you want your business name linked to pen that quits writing after a month? or starts to skip? Or how about the worst possible thing that can happen?  A pen you give a customer explodes or leaks in their pocket or purse and ruins it.

Don’t try to find the cheapest imprinted pen that you can. I’m sure you can find some out there as cheap as maybe ten cents each. Why bother with giving a potential customer you are trying to convince to do business with you a pen you know is almost worthless. You are better off just giving them the dime that the pen cost. Another way to view it is: Would you do business with a company that gives you something that is worth a dime, and doesn’t even work? Be proud of your business name and don’t put it on a piece of junk.

There is a place for cheap imprinted pens. You usually see them in political campaigns because all they want to do is give out things with their name on it. They are just trying to build name recognition for about a month, they don’t care how long the pen lasts. Don’t get your business name compared to your local politicians.

The BIC company puts out an amazing quality pen at very very reasonable price. Custom imprinted pens by BIC are the largest selling item on our website. We run sales on BIC brand pens that put them at almost the same cost as the cheap pens that other people offer. BIC offers over 200 color combinations with various colors of barrels, caps, and trim. When you include the different colors available for the imprint there has to be a way to match the pen to your business colors with just a one color imprint. If you can keep your imprint to one color it will help you get the cheap imprinted pen that you want

FREE Artwork on orders over $500

June 25, 2008 · Filed Under Uncategorized · Comment

TradeShowItems.com now offers FREE ARTWORK on all orders over $500.  This is a great deal that can really speed up the order time and make ordering much easier.

The biggest hassle in ordering advertising specialties is getting the artwork “camera ready”.  With today’s digital lifestyle everything is handled by email these days.  Everyone thinks they can just email an attachment with a jpeg, gif or scan of their logo and it will be fine.  I really wish it was, it would make my life so much easier.  However, almost every factory now requires artwork to be “vector” drawings with fonts changed to curves and outlined, and other things that normal people don’t have the capability to do.  Most factories now only accept artwork created in Corel Draw or the more popular Adobe Illustrator.

The price tag for these 2 programs is pretty high, and the learning curve is even higher.  They are also upgraded every year or so which requires having to learn all the new features.  They are basically programs for artists and graphic designers, and most of my customers (including me) aren’t.

TradeShowItems.com will now convert anything you send them: jpeg, gif, scan or anything else and have it coverted to the correct artwork file.  This can be a huge time saver, unless you have a graphic artist on staff or can find one that will do the work for less than free.

Please visit www.TradeShowItems.com for more information.

BIC Pens offer a great variety at a great price

May 6, 2008 · Filed Under Uncategorized · Comment

Custom imprinted pens by BIC are probably the largest selling imprinted pens in the world.

BIC is world famous for their high quality pens.  BIC was established in 1969 under the name BIC Special Markets Division.  Although originally started as a custom pen maker they have branched out and now make mousepads, lighters, sticky notes, magnets, flashlights and have added the Solis Line and the Scheaffer Line of pens.

The BIC CLIC STIC is probably the largest selling pen in the world.  Offering 19 barrel and trim colors, the BIC CLIC STIC has a possible 300 color combinations.  Add the fact that you can also choose a different imprint color for your logo and you now have a 3 color item for the price of a one color imprint.  There are also 3 colors of writing ink available in medium point and 2 in fine point.  BIC also offers free art, set-up and screens.  For more information on ordering the BIC CLIC STIC please visit www.PenDeal.com

The BIC TRI STIC is also a very popular imprinted pen from BIC.  This pen is easily recognized by it’s triangle shaped barrel.  This triangle shape is a favorite of many people because it prevents the pen from rolling, especially on desks that have an angle.  Many people also like the feel of the three sides of the BIC TRI STIC in their hand.  One of the main benefits of this pen to advertisers is the ability to order a different imprint for each side (3 total) and each one can be a different color.  With the same barrel and trim options as the BIC CLIC STIC the possibilities are enormous.  For more information on ordering the BIC TRI STIC please visit www.PenDeal.com
